Vimy is a hamlet within Westlock County and is located 1.4 kilometres (0.87 mi) east of Highway 2, approximately 59 kilometres (37 mi) north of Edmonton.
The Vimy and District Lions Club was established in 1979 and is made up of long term volunteer members from the hamlet and surrounding areas. The residents believe it is important to continue to support and enhance the services available in the Vimy community which have a positive impact on youth and families. Within the community of Vimy and surrounding areas, are events such as the Annual Spring Cleanup, Christmas Light Up and Annual Fall Supper. Available to rent is the Vimy Hall, which the community maintains in addition to the outdoor skating rink and playground.
