Regular Council meetings are held every second (9:00 am) and fourth (9:00 am) Tuesday in Council Chambers.

If you would like to make a presentation to Council or appear as a delegation at one of our Council Meetings, please complete this fillable Council Meeting Delegation Form and submit it by email (to ea@westlockcounty.com), fax, or in person. Please call 780-307-0527 with any questions.

Council Meetings are held the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month. For more information, see the Delegation page of the Council Procedure Bylaw 44-2023. 

Council is required to conduct public hearings regarding land use bylaws, rezoning, etc., or on any other matter Council deems appropriate.

Council has the authority to conduct special meetings on an as-needed basis. In general, Council conducts business during regularly scheduled meetings. However, there are occasions when Council needs to call a special meeting.

Organizational Council Meetings are held annually to appoint the Reeve and to appoint Council members to various boards, committees and commissions.

Council Boards, Committees, and Commissions

The purpose of the Governance and Priorities Committee is to enhance organizational governance and ensure that roles and responsibilities of Council, the Chief Administrative Officer, and Administration are delivered and understood by all stakeholders.  The Committee provides an informal forum for the discussion of governance matters.
