May 29, 2025 Wildfire Alert

The wildfire located West of Fawcett, (WWF023) is classified as Out of Control.

Alberta Wildfire firefighters, supported by airtankers, helicopters and heavy equipment are responding to wildfire WWF023. The wildfire is located 12 km west of Fawcett, 19 km north of the community of Vega, in the Hubert Lake Wildland Provincial Park. The wildfire is currently classified as out of control and is approximately 600 ha in size.

A possible mandatory evacuation could be required for residents in the area. Residents who may need to evacuate, are currently being notified. Westlock County will keep residents informed of any changes.

Please remain out of the area so first responders can action the fire.
