
LED Lighting Retrofit
Westlock County is pleased to announce that an LED Lighting Retrofit was recently completed at the Public Works Shop in early April. This behind-the-scenes upgrade will make a big impact reducing energy use, lowering utility costs, and improving visibility and safety for our staff working in the space.

• Emissions Reduction: 9.6 tonnes CO₂e/year

🌍 What 9.6 tonnes of CO₂e savings looks like:
- Emissions from 2.9 passenger vehicles
- 4,090 litres of gasoline consumed
- 21.7 barrels of oil used
- Energy use of 2.2 homes for a year
- Electricity use of 6.4 homes for a year
- 400 BBQ propane cylinders
