Information Regarding Privacy Management Program

Under the Protection of Privacy Act (POPA), all public bodies in Alberta are required to establish and implement a comprehensive privacy management program (PMP) a, consisting of documented policies, procedures and other governance documents that guide how information is managed at Westlock County.

The County is currently expanding our current PMP to meet these requirements. 

 

Why does a Privacy Management Program matter?

A strong and accessible PMP will help ensure personal information is handled with care and transparency and that privacy risks are identified and managed appropriately and proactively. The County is committed to strengthening public trust and meeting our legal obligations.
