Bruinella Mitchell

Bruinella Mitchell was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario and moved to Alberta in the Highridge area in 1990.

She has a background of 27 years working in Municipal Government. Starting in 1991 in the Town of Barrhead for 5 years, then moving over to the Town of Westlock for 10. She took a break in municipal government to raise her then 3 year old son and 1 year old twin girls with her paramedic husband on alternate days off for 9 years, before coming to Westlock County in 2012. She started in the Planning and Development Department before moving into the Tax Department for 8 years. She finished her time in municipal government with the Town of Westlock for 16 months before opening her own business and deciding to run for Council. 

She is passionate to serve her community, residents may be familiar with her as a seamstress. She looks forward to being on the other side of municipal government to continue the great work that Council and administration have being building on and believes through the shared deep caring for the County, they can continue to work together in moving Westlock County forward, through collaboration and transparency.
